Are you experienced?
Absolutely and I have completed my
professional courses from Surrey college, BM Chan
International Cosmetology College Burnaby, BC and Award
International Studio in
Hollywood. I was also chosen to do makeup for the
Miss World Canada 2010 contestants.
What products do you use?
We are not loyal to one particular
brand, preferring instead to use a range of different
products from a variety of brands that have been put
together based on what we love to use. My kits are
packed with all our favourite goodies (that we even use
on ourselves) so you can be assured that they have all
been tried and tested proving to be the best products
around. The brands that feature the most in our kits
are: Mac, Nars, Benefit, Bobby Brown,
Ben Nye, Temptu, Clinique, Estee Lauder and Stilla. We
also take consideration of clients likes / dislikes.
Will the make-up last all day?
Yes, your make-up will last, however
there are a few tips that we give our brides to help our
good work along. 1) Invest in a good powder. It is
inevitable sometimes that you will become a little oily
in your T-Zone (especially in summer). The foundation
will be fine so just a touch of powder will have
everything looking brand new again. Mac's studio fix is
a great one for touch ups. 2) Lipstick/ lip gloss
REAPPLY! Lipstick is not meant to last all day (unless
it is really matt or like glue yuck!) so having your
colour with you on the day so you can touch it up will
keep you looking fresh. At the trial we can give you the
name of the lipstick we used or you can arrange for us
to get you some.. Easy!
Does the Make-up have to be heavy for the
photos?
No, it doesn't have to be heavy but
it does have to be applied properly using the right
products. A professional make-up artist knows how to
make the most of your features, even out skin tone, make
eyes stand out and make sure you look as beautiful as
possible. This is a very special day and you want to
look your best after all you have spent all that money
on that dress, right? You don't have to look like a
different person but you can make sure that you have
made the most of what you already have.
Are there travel costs?
Yes there may be a small travel fee
involved which will depend on how far the artist will be
travelling.
Do you do hair as well?
Yes we most certainly do. I am a
qualified creative updo hair artist as well as makeup artist.
How much time will you need on the day?
We like to leave about an hour for
each person and approx an hour and a half for the bride.
If only make-up is required the time is usually half an
hour for each person and one hour for the bride. So it
all depends on how many people will be getting ready on
the day.
